I am looking at Silvia Pelissero's, better known a Agnes Cecile, work as an inspiration and link to my own work because of how she creates wonderful watercolour paintings that are a mixture of abstract realism in the sense of how detailed they are, but are made up of vast colour palettes. Her style of work gives the viewer so much to take in, especially when you see her 'speed paintings' where she creates portaits simply by dripping paint across the canvas in a layered, mark-making technique. The colours in her work are emphasised and made to stand out more because Cecile also outlines her work in white ink; giving a highlighted, embossed and illuminated effect.
