I am especially drawn to the work of Sarah Pickstone because of the colours she uses and how she paints with acrylic and mixed media to create her multi layered, nature based pieces.

I can connect to these paintings due to the fact that I also use nature as a heavy inspiration point for my project, as well as looking at how different techniques of applying the material and mark making processes can add depth to a piece.
