I find that when I spend too long overthinking what I want to do for a piece, or try planning what a painting should look like before even starting it, then it will never turn out how I want, making me more frustrated than if I were to just dive in and start creating. Often I will have multiple pieces on the go at once, so I focus more on creating art that comes more naturally; normally resulting in better outcomes.
