I am intruiged by Callum Innes work mostly because of the processes he uses to create his pieces. His paintings all build upon previous works in a constant, yet subtle, progression. His style has been describes as 'unpainting' because the elements of his paintings are created by the removal of washes and layers from turpentine, rather than the traditional method of applying paint.
