gallery visits
with the uni i went on visits to various galleries including the Baltic in Gateshea, where we saw work by Monica Bonvicini (who's work is based on architecture) and also to Liverpool where i visited the Tate Liverpool and saw work by Tracey Emin and William Blake, as well as seeing the John Moores Painting Prize 2016 exhibition. As interesting as these all were to explore and learn about there were sadly no artists that had much relevance to my own project and ideas. however myself and some of the other girls who i share studio spaces with are planning on going on our own trip to Manchester to see the exhibitions at the Manchester Art Gallery and the Whitworth Art Gallery.
