Adobe Photoshop manipulations

For some more experimentation work based on my interest in mixed media based work I decided to scan in a few of my abstract paintings as well as some of my bird drawings/sketches to then manipulate them using Adobe Photoshop. I edited the images levels, saturation, contrast, hue, opacity and used the image cropping options to remove the birds and place them on top of the paintings to sue them as backgrounds for the birds. I quite liked this technique and its outcome because of the control I had over compositional placement, colour palette and if there were any areas I did not like, I could simply remove them or add different layers on top. I would like to use these skills more when it comes to extending and building upon my ideas.
